Steel Billets — High-Strength Foundation for Modern Industries

Get Quote

As a leading Steel Billets Manufacturer in Punjab, we specialize in producing high-quality low carbon (LC) steel billets and blooms through advanced steel melting processes. Our integrated manufacturing setup ensures superior product quality, consistency, and timely delivery. Our facilities are designed to maximize efficiency by directly transferring hot metal from the blast furnace to the Steel Melting Shop (SMS), reducing energy loss and enhancing production output.

What are Steel Billets?

Hot rolled coils are produced by heating steel slabs in a natural gas-fired furnace and processing them through a hot rolling mill to reduce thickness. After cooling, the material is cut into desired lengths or supplied in coil form. These coils can also be further processed through cold rolling mills depending on application requirements.

Our Manufacturing Process

Our production process is designed using advanced metallurgical practices to ensure premium quality steel billets:

  • Hot metal from the blast furnace is directly transferred to the SMS using ladles and overhead cranes.
  • DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) and ferro alloys are added in precise proportions to produce liquid steel.
  • Oxygen is supplied through our in-house oxygen plant to maintain the required oxidizing atmosphere.
  • Liquid steel is tapped using the Eccentric Bottom Tapping (EBT) method to minimize slag contamination.
  • The steel is refined in a Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) for desulphurization.
  • Vacuum Degassing (VD) is performed to control gases like hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen.
  • Finally, the molten steel is cast into billets and blooms using Continuous Casting Machines (CCM).

This integrated approach allows us to deliver high volumes efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.

Applications

Our products are widely used across multiple industries:

  • Manufacturing of HR (Hot Rolled) and CR (Cold Rolled) coils

FAQs

LC billets are used to manufacture structural steel, pipes, and rolled products due to their high ductility.

Punjab-based manufacturers offer strong industrial infrastructure and efficient logistics for faster delivery.

LC billets have lower carbon content, making them more weldable and flexible.

Construction, automotive, pipe manufacturing, and fabrication industries widely use LC billets.

Quality is maintained through refining processes like LRF, vacuum degassing, and continuous casting.
